Description
KalmAid Tablets
KalmAid Tablets are specially formulated to help calm cats and dogs during periods of stress and anxiety such as during fireworks, thunderstorms, travel, owner separation and new environments. They can also be used to manage long-term behavioural issues.
They contain L- tryptophan and green tea extract. Green tea provides a source of L-theanine, which when combined with L-tryptophan supply the essential amino acids which help stimulate the production of serotonin. Serotonin plays an important role in maintaining calm and relaxation in animals. KalmAid Tablets also contain Thiamine (vitamin B1) as deficiency in this crucial vitamin has been associated with nervous disorders.
Directions
The dosage depends on your pet's weight:
- <5kg:1 tablet
- 5-10kg: 1½ tablets
- 10-20kg: 2 tablets
- 20-30kg: 2½ tablets
- Over 30kg: 3 tablets
For short term use, give 1-2 hours before an 'anxious event'. Intake can be increased if required for individual cases. For an individual event likely to cause fear or anxiety give a single double amount appropriate for animals weight, preferably one hour before the required effect. This can be repeated if necessary up to 3 times daily.
For long-term management of behavioural problems, give half the above amount daily. Reduce the amount given with improvement and repeat for flare up
As all pets are individuals, the requirements may vary. A trial may be necessary to determine the current amount for an individual animal.

Sorbitol, glycerine, vitamin B3, vitamin B1, vitamin B6, L- tryptophan, L-theanine, salmon flavor, microrystalline cellulose, carboxymethylcellulose, Xanthan gum, benzoic acid, polyoxyethylene 20 sorbitan monooleate.
