DERMISOL CREAM 100GM
Dermisol Cream for animal wounds is an excellent choice of cream that can be used with almost any animal, such as dogs, cats, cattle, and horses.
Dermisol Cream may be used to encourage healing in horses, cattle, dogs and cats particularly when this process is impaired by the presence of necrotic tissue, coagulum, debris or wax. This may occur in cases of traumatic injury, surgical wounds, infected wounds and otitis externa.
This cream is ideal for use with surgical wounds, infected wounds, cuts, abrasions and scratches and will help to ensure that the wound heals quickly and that infection and bacteria do not get a chance to set in or take effect, which makes Dermisol Cream for Animal Wounds so effective and necessary.
Dermisol Cream aids healing by removing dead and necrotic tissue from affected areas.
This is achieved by differential swelling of necrotic and healthy tissues leading to separation of the devitalised areas and embedded debris.
Dermisol Cream is a white cream for topical application. The product is prepared from the following active ingredients:
Propylene Glycol 1.750% v/v
Malic acid 0.375% w/v
Benzoic Acid 0.025% w/v
Salicylic Acid 0.006% w/v
Dermisol Cream will help the natural healing process of the wound of the animal, and will help the wound to heal faster and more effectively, which makes this cream an essential item for any first aid kit.
If you are buying a medicine for a horse that is NOT signed out of the food chain (section IX of its passport) you should ensure that the product is suitable
Always read the instructions before use.
Safety precautions may be necessary during administration, please consult the packaging and/or product literature.
Dermisol aids the removal of dead tissue and any embedded debris by causing maximum differential swelling between live and dead areas.
This is achieved in two ways:
1.The low pH causes separation of collagen molecules by rupturing the hydrogen bonding. The optimum pH to achieve this effect is between pH 2 and pH 3.
2.The organic acid reacts with carboxyl and amino groups in the collagen. The insertion of the organic acid forces the collagen chains apart.
In both cases the devitalised tissues absorb water and swell markedly.
Healthy tissue is unaffected because of natural barriers to organic acids and sufficient buffering capacity to maintain a near neutral pH
Do not store above 25°C.
Prolonged contact with metal surfaces is inadvisable.
Keep out of the reach of children.
For animal treatment only.
