Omega Aid Liquid for Dogs & Cats

Omega Aid – for healthy skin & coat

Omega Aid For Dogs & Cats is for a healthy skin and a shiny coat in pets.  For pets with dull or poor coats or ‘scratchy’ skin.

Omega Aid contains essential fats (Omega 3 & Omega 6 fatty acids) which are components of the skin, fur, nails, hair. The quality of the fat in the diet influences the condition of the skin and coat.

Omega 3 & Omega 6 fatty acids play an important role in the inflammatory process

Omega-Aid is available in 250ml & 500ml aniseed flavoured liquid.

Feeding Guideline:

1 pump = 2.5ml
Give by pouring over the pets food.

Give the following amount:

Pet Weight        Amount to Give
Up to 5 kg          2.5ml daily
5 – 10kg            5ml daily
10 – 20kg          7.5ml daily
20 – 30kg         10-15ml daily
Over 30kg         12.5ml daily

After 4 weeks, daily intake can be decreased by half.

Dogs should stay on Omega Aid for at least 1 month.  As OmegaAid is working to make changes to the skin and coat it can take up to 30 days as new fur grows to see the affect.

Omega Aid is effective for cats. Simply give the amount according to your pets’ weight as shown on the bottle.

Omega Aid Liquid can be given in addition to any other supplements.

How does Omega-Aid Liquid work ?
Essential Fatty Acids called Omega 3 and Omega 6 Fatty Acids are major components of membranes such as skin, fur, nails and hair. The health of the skin and coat therefore depends on the type and proportions of Fatty Acid available to them.

Essential Fatty Acids
Primary essential fatty acid results mainly from the ingestion of diets based on animal fats (meat based).
Animal fats are mostly saturated fats with little or no essential fatty acid content.

Current western diets are particularly high in Omega 6 fatty acids with the resultant low levels of Omega 3 fatty acid content in the skin.

Fats, which are cooked during processing which is the norm in food processing, can have the fatty acids changed from the cis to the transformation. This destroys their usefulness as essential fatty acids and can lead to thin, scaly skin. Omega Aid will help.
