Renalzin Phosphate Reducer Aiding Kidney Function
Renalzin is a new phosphate binding supplement from Bayer Animal Health. It effectively reduces phosphorus absorption from ingested food and is indicated to support renal function in chronic and acute renal disease in cats.
Renalzin contains the phosphorus binder lanthanum carbonate and is specifically formulated for cats. Renalzin works by reducing the uptake of excess phosphorus in the diet. Controlling phosphorus helps to protect the kidneys and slow the progression of kidney disease.
Phosphorus control is beneficial at any stage of kidney disease. Your vet may introduce a low phosphate diet as well as recommending Renalzin.
Renalzin - easy for cats
Renalzin is an easy to administer paste available in a convenient pump applicator. It can be dispensed directly onto the food, or mixed into it.
Add to wet or dry food
Renalzin can be added to your cat’s preferred food or any specialist kidney (renal) diet.
Neutral taste and odourless
Renalzin does not change the flavour of food, so your cat can enjoy his/her normal diet.
Flexible use
Renalzin can be given once or twice daily according to your cat’s preferred feeding pattern.
Renalzin also contains the toxin binder kaolin and the antioxidant vitamin E. The recommended daily dose of vitamin E is provided with administration of Renalzin
